Winter Park, FL—The Winter Park Health Foundation (WPHF) today announced Lindsay Kist’s promotion to Vice President, effective January 1, 2025. In her expanded role, Kist will lead the Foundation’s efforts in Community Impact, which encompasses grantmaking, education, and partnerships, as well as Community Engagement, which includes communications, marketing, and outreach initiatives.
“Since joining WPHF six years ago, Lindsay has proven herself to be an invaluable asset to our organization,” said Nicholas Abrahams, WPHF President and CEO. “Her versatility, expertise, and dedication to advancing community health and wellbeing make her exceptionally well-suited for this vital leadership role. As a member of our executive team, she will continue to drive our mission forward with passion and purpose.”
Kist’s time with WPHF began in August 2018, when she joined as Communications Manager, playing a pivotal role in the promotion of the Center for Health & Wellbeing, a joint initiative of WPHF and AdventHealth, which opened in April 2019. In September 2021, she was promoted to Communications and Marketing Director, and became Senior Director of Community Impact and Engagement in November 2023.
Before her time at WPHF, Kist built a notable career in New York City, working in communications and programmatic roles with the Women’s Sports Foundation—a national nonprofit championing advocacy and access for girls and women in sports, founded by tennis legend and social justice icon Billie Jean King. She also served in an executive role at Excelle Sports, a digital publishing start-up dedicated to elevating journalism focused on women’s sports counting the Madison Square Garden company as an original investor.
Kist holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Sector Leadership from North Carolina State University’s (NCSU) School of Public and International Affairs. While at NCSU, Kist was also a collegiate athlete, competing as a member of the university’s NCAA Division I women’s swim team.
WPHF looks forward to Kist’s continued contributions to improving the health and wellbeing of the Central Florida community.
